WELCOME TO SUNDAY SCHOOL!!!!

First United Methodist Church has a fun-filled Sunday morning program for all ages. Classes start at 9:45. We would love to have you join us any Sunday. If you have questions, please call Marcia Perkins @ 651-8468 or the church office.

Below is a list of the classes that are offered, followed by a summary of the lessons that will be taught starting with the Fall 2008 quarter.

CHILDREN CLASSES:

Pre-School – ages 3 to 5 years old - Room 205

Kindergarten & First Grade - Room 209

2nd, 3rd and 4th Grades – Room 204

5th Grade – Room 202

Jr. High (6^th – 8^th) – Room 201

Sr. High (9^th – 12^th) – Room 313

Perfect Attendance means attending Sunday School every Sunday for 1 year (August 1 - July 31) Attendance does not have to be at FUMC. There are two excused absences. Hospital stays do not count against attendance.

It is our tradition to give our new 3rd Graders a Bible. This year Payne Flatt and Morgan Vaughn will receive their Bibles.

CHILDREN’S CURRICULUM

Whatever time we as parents, grandparents or teachers spend with a child, whether at play or at home, every minute counts.

While the lessons are similar for each age group they are geared to reach the appropriate age level.

Your child does receive a ‘take home’ paper each week but knowing children they might not always reach you. Hopefully this website will let you know what is going on in your child’s classroom. Please ask your child questions about what he/she learned. Remember this is a great opportunity for you to spend time with your child sharing God’s love for them.

God is so big He can cover the whole world with His Love and so small He can curl up inside your heart.

ADULT CLASSES

There are five adult Sunday School classes: Growing Christians, Pairs & Spares, Fellowship Class, Welcome Class and Open Door Class. Each class is unique in the way they choose to study God’s Word. Please feel free to ‘cruise’ the classes to find the one that fits your needs and interest.

*A nursery is available for children up to age 3 during Sunday School and Worship service.
