On the third Thursday of every month we distribute food to the needy in our community through our Food Pantry. We serve almost 100 families each month.




This group provides meals and time for families to gather after the loss of a loved one.




We provide weekly visitation to:

·         those hospitalized or sick at home

·         shut-ins and home bound members

·         newcomers in our area




·         Provide Facility for AA and Al-Anon – every Friday evening at 7:30.

·         Contribution for Glasgow Community Relief

·         Community Thanksgiving Service

·         Support for Youth RYOT

·         World Day of Prayer

·         Lenten Services during Holy Week




Cinderella's Closet is a foundation/organization providing prom dresses to young women who could not otherwise afford to attend their prom. Cinderella's Closet Foundation can be located on the web at Cinderella's Closet Kentucky originated as a ministry of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Lakeside Park, KY, in 2006 and is now at work in several states throughout the country caring for young women and reminding them just how important they are to people throughout their community.



A group of concerned Barren County women led by Julie Greer Edwards, Courtney Edwards Benefield, Brenda Chaney and Linda Cook have organized to assist eligible Glasgow/Barren County young women attend their April/May prom. In 2014, Cinderella’s Closet helped to provide prom dresses and accessories to twenty-five girls in the Glasgow/Barren County area. This year, plans are to double that number to help reach fifty girls in the area. This local event will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 500 S Green Street on March 14, 2015.
